First look at new video as band release postcard EP

Today, Edinburgh indie crew Kid Canaveral have released their new EP 'A Compromise', the latest addition to Lost Map Records' excellent PostMap postcard releases. Alongside LP and radio edit versions of the title track, the closer on this year's Now That You Are A Dancer album, there are remixes of fellow album tracks from Giant Fighting Robot, reworking 'The Wrench', and the band themselves collaborating with Lost Map label mates eagleowl as Kid Canaverowl (eh? Eh? Come on!) on a new version of 'Low Winter Sun'; get hold of it here. To mark the release, we've excited to host a first look at the video for 'A Compromise', an expansive drama condensed down into a mere 4:40 and directed by Beth Chalmers, Jassy Earl and Vicki Cole, bassist in Lost Map's Randolph's Leap - have a watch above.

The EP also comes ahead of Kid Canaveral's sold-out Xmas Baubles IV, their annual festive bash, taking place at Portobello Town Hall in Edinburgh on December 14, with the band being joined by Edwyn Collins, De Rosa, The Pictish Trail, Siobhan Wilson, This Many Boyfriends and more yet-to-be announced.
