Echo And The Bunnymen - Buxton, January 1981
Tom says: “The Bunnymen were in the middle of making the film Shine So Hard in Buxton and had decided to play a gig. It was snowing pretty hard when I arrived a few days before the gig to see them make some of the film. After several days we had to do the shot for the cover of Melody Maker. Mac [Ian McCulloch], as usual, kept me and the rest of the band waiting for ages. The lazy twat pulled himself out of his pit on a very dark snowy afternoon at about four o'clock. There's no way of saying how cold and dark it was, although it doesn't look it here. Magic me! Over the next thirty years the deadbeat singer cost me about a month of my life spent waiting for the herbert to turn up to photo shoots. Great band though.”
