Loose Ends – Zagora
This was their third album, after ‘Hangin' On A String’ and all that, and it took their sound to another level – basslines, 808 beats, street soul – real British street soul. Tracks like ‘Stay A Little While, Child’, ‘Slow Down’, ‘Gonna Make You Mine’ – I suggest to anybody to go and listen to those basslines. They are next level. For a British soul band Loose Ends did so much. They were huge in America and they were a big influence on me – not just as a DJ and making music, but on the dancefloor. It was definitely the music that you got down to whether you were a guy or a girl.
