Butthole Surfers will be reissuing their first four albums on vinyl next month. 1984's Psychic... Powerless... Another Man’s Sac, Rembrandt Pussyhorse (1986), Locust Abortion Technician (1987) and Hairway to Steven (also 1987) will be out on October 7 via the band's Latino Bugger Veil label, "re-cut for maximum vinyl whoompf" and packaged with a download code.

We'll be covering the reissues further ahead of release; in the meantime, have a listen to Psychic... opener 'Concubine' below:

Everybody should read their chapter in 'Our Band Could Be Your Life', especially the paragraphs retelling Gibby's rampage through a Dutch festival. If any bands career should be a movie, its the Butthole Surfers!

Well, three of those records are good-to-great. "Hairway" was, is and always will be doghist, as will every subsequent album/ep by these willful underachievers. Hey, maybe Jackofficers and Paul Leary solo reissues next?!?! Buddy of mine in Austin used to fuck Gibby's ex- in Jerry Jeff Walker's hot tub while Gibby was crawling East Austin crack spots... ROCK!!!

Hairway was great! Perhaps not as wicked as the three previous albums, but in no way is it "dpgshit". Jimi is as disturbing as anything they've put out before and is a tough piece to swallow for an opener. And how can you not like Johnny Smoke, the crippled midget lesbian-boy who stood ten foot tall with a knife? Did I mention the song is about his mom? I mean with his mom? Or being without his mom... Can't remember.

Dogsiht seems to be a very difficult word to spell correctly.
