New video for track from recent solo album Embracism

Following our interview with the madcap, multi-faceted Australian Kirin J Callinan last month, we now have the pleasure of bringing you his new video, for 'Victoria M.' from the debut album Embracism he released at the beginning of the month through Siberia Records/Terrible Records/XL Recordings.

Says the text accompanying the video: "Kirin J Callinan has his own theory that the three great Australian bands, the Mt. Rushmore of Oz if you will, all have a criminal aspect to them: AC/DC = gang of outcasts raising hell, INXS = sexual deviancy, lasciviousness, and Nick Cave = murderous poet. Kirin has elements of all three, and in time, he will be the fourth face on that rock."

So what better way to accompany the track, a storming, triumphant piece of piano-led rock, laced with his distinctive tenor, than by Callinan furthering this split identity aesthetic and diving into his (predictably large) dress-up box to create a cast of thousands (/two dozen), all led in song by a distant relation of Jean Michel Jarre's - have a watch above.
