Ace naturalist joins with Brian May on anti-badger cull single

Sir David Attenborough, Brian May and Slash have joined forces as Artful Badger and Friends to release a new single, 'Badger Swagger', as part of their campaign against this summer's planned badger cull - have a watch above.

The track also features rapper Sonny Green, Sam And The Womp, Kerry Ellis and Shara Nelson and is out today - head over to the Get Off My Badger website to download the track and sign the petition to oppose the cull here.

Announcing his contribution, Slash tweeted: "Just finished 'Badger March' solo 4 'Badger Swagger'. It sounds like a badger riot. Or, a bunch of hooligan badgers in a pub. iiii]; )'"

As The Guardian report, May has been a long-time activist against the badger cull, releasing two previous songs in support of the campaign - watch The Badger Song and Badger Rap - and stating recently: "[This] is a fight against the old-fashioned, bloody-minded, ignorant attitude that human beings and money and political power are all that matter. It's a fight for the rights of the other creatures on this planet – for their very right to live in these islands."

It should also be noted that it's not the first time David Attenborough's appeared on a song - as well as working with Björk on her Biophilia project, he takes up a vocal turn on Cephalic Carnage's 'Cordyceps Humanis' from their Misled By Certainty album - listen closely below:
