Artist collaborates with FF and Django Django as part of new project

Sound artist Haroon Mirza and Factory Floor have collaborated on a new recording for Mirza's /o/o/o/o/ exhibition at the Lisson Gallery in London.

As part of his work, Mirza has created audio samples and collages which will be made available online for anyone to remix. Ahead of that, he asked Factory Floor and Django Django to rework the material - have a listen to the results below:

Django Django collaboration:

The Django Django rework, under their Jellyman moniker, layers a stuttering vocal sample over dancehall beats, while Factory Floor's is a much starker affair: reverberating drums ricochet over a heart-pulse beat intermittently washed over/blasted by crushes of digital distortion and distant, motoring sound samples.

The Vinyl Factory have pressed 300 copies of each, with the first 100 hand-signed and -numbered by the artist, along with 30 of Mirza's sound pieces hand-cut onto vinyl lacquer. For more details, head over to the Vinyl Factory's site here.
