Multimedia organisation set to feature art exhibitions and music at their first event, next Saturday

On April 20, Connect The Dots will host a one-day event of visual arts, photography, technology and music at The Grain Warehouse in Victoria Quays, Sheffield.

There will also be independent pop-ups from Warp Records, Bleep.com, Hantu Collective and Now Then magazine among others at the event, which runs from 1-9pm.

Says project director Deborah Egan, the industrial building (see below) will feature "a wide range of work from the electronic robotics of Matt Jones to the contemporary photography of Shaun Bloodworth".

Abdullah Al-wali, the event's curator, says: "This year, our events will take place in Sheffield, however, we wish to grow and host events in other cities. We intend on making each event a strong reflection of that particular city’s contemporary artistic scenes - those that belong there and inspire the multitude of working artists.” Head to Facebook for more details here.

In addition, Sleng Teng will be putting on an afterparty at the nearby Yellow Arch Studios, featuring legendary radio DJ Sir David Rodigan, as well as Sticky and DJ Spyro. Supporting the main lineup are local track selectors Alex Deadman, Jack Opus, Liquid Steel DJs, King David and Concrete Jungle. For more details, head to the Facebook event here.
