Record Store Day, April 20, is now less than a month away, and the event's organisers have published the full list of releases coming out on the day.

Picks of the 200-strong bunch include three David Bowie releases: a double A-side 7" of 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight)'/'Where Are We Now?', a 7" picture disc reissue of his Aladdin Sane single 'Drive-In Saturday' and his 'Bowie 1965!' EP, collecting together his two singles and their B-sides as The Manish Boys and Davy Jones & The Lower Third. Pulp will be releasing their new track 'After You' on 12", while Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will release a new single, 'Animal X' on 7".

Beyond that, there's a split 12" from Toy and The Horrors, a double-vinyl release of Tim Burgess's album from last year as Oh No I Love You More and an untitled Factory Floor 10" and DVD, as well as - take a deep breath - special releases from this lot:

Bat For Lashes, BEAK>, Billy Bragg, Marc Bolan, British Sea Power, Caribou, Carlton Melton, Miles Davis, Dethscalator, Django Django, Echo & The Bunnymen, Edwyn Collins & The Heartbreaks, Foals, Frank Zappa, Gil Scott Heron, Goat, Glasvegas, Half Japanese, Ian McCulloch, Inspiral Carpets, The Invisible Hands, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Jimi Hendrix, John Foxx (featuring a remix by the Quietus' own John Doran and John Tatlock under their Oh The Gilt guise), Kate Bush, Killing Joke, King Midas Sound, Kvelertak, Low and Dirty Three, Moon Duo, Mugstar, Nick Drake, Notorious B.I.G., Orange Juice, R.E.M., Ringo Starr, Serafina Steer, Simple Minds, Soundgarden, Stealing Sheep, Suede, Sun Ra, The Asphodells, The Cure, The Durutti Column, The Fall, The Fauns, The Flaming Lips, The Hold Steady, The Twilight Sad, Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat split 7", The Wedding Present, The xx, Thurston Moore & Loren Connors and The Velvet Underground.

while there's some choice stuff on the list there's also waves and waves of repackaged/reissued guff. it'll all surface on ebay the next day for silly money, then the prices drop down to normal. happens every year.

Pretty boring list this year overall. Missed RSD last year but still managed to pick up PIL, Flaming Lips and British Sea Power releases from their web sites long afterwards. Certainly won't be queuing for 3 hours outside RTrade East this year!
