First play of opening track from Texan duo's upcoming debut 10"

Texas-based synth duo Vulgar Fashion are set to release their self-titled debut 10" (artwork above) on March 19 - have a listen to the first track, 'Krystal Liez' below:

'Krystal Liez' drops us straight into a pulsating electro throb, before breathy, gothic intonations of "lies[/z]" recede fall away in an digitised scream, subsumed by the beat, surging back as a redoubled techno monster. Elsewhere, the EP takes in more emotive 80s synth-pop stylings, but the opener is an icy, cold-eyed slice of pounding electro punk.

The duo, comprising members Kubic Zirconia and Slush, are being put on Handmade Birds, the label run by R Loren of fellow Texans, experimental five-piece Pyramids, who have this to say by way of introduction:

"Vulgar fashion uncovers what heterosexual men think about when they see sexually provocative advertising (hint: it isn’t their girlfriends)...

Mmmmmagic ice cream. Maerc eci cigammmmM

...and stokes the flames of public panic and profit on paranoia over global contagions, extreme weather events, and food contamination scares, while mining our digital footprints to target us with ads and offers that appeal to our psychological profiles."
