Anthony Child, AKA Surgeon: New LP Due
Laurie Tuffrey , January 16th, 2013 10:49

LP collates 16 years' worth of "tonal experiments" in two long-form tracks

Anthony Child, better known as British techno luminary Surgeon, has just announced that he'll be releasing a new album, The Space Between People And Things (artwork above), under his birth name via Canadian label NNA Tapes on March 5.

Rather than his trademark sonics, the album will instead bring together material he's been working on for 16 years into two side-long tracks. The label tell us: "these sounds are then intensified to form vast new worlds, enveloping the listener with bright, crystalline detail and clarity. These two side-long pieces seem to exist and not exist simultaneously, filling the listening space as an almost physical presence, to a point where they blend harmoniously with the air that surrounds you."

Says Child of the record: “[it] consists of location recordings, tonal experiments and thought-forms from many different positions in space and time. It is the sound of the space between people and things”.

While there's no audio yet, we'll update as soon as we have it.
