Ginger Baker Trio - Going Back Home
A guy called Chip Stern organised that – a fan of mine, a writer. It was very enjoyable. We did the first album in three days. I'd been following Charlie Haden's stuff since his early days with Ornette Coleman. There's so much more space. Very simple, no pressure. These days, it's three years between albums for new bands. A lot of that is down to all this hi-tech, silly silly stuff that producers feel they have to use. They waste a lot of money and time doing silly things. I come across these people, I don't get on with them at all.
