Blind Faith - Blind Faith
It was such a relief to be playing with people like Stevie Winwood – the volume was acceptable. My hearing was pretty damaged just from the Cream period, but fortunately I stopped that and never really went back. Stevie is a genius. It'd have been nice for Blind Faith to have carried on but it was never going to happen – Eric just went away and formed Derek And The Dominos. He was already hanging out with Delaney and Bonnie (later Bonnie Bramlett) during the Blind Faith period. We only ever saw him when he came onstage. He even at one point suggested Delaney and Bonnie should top the bill when they were supporting us on tour, which I thought was ridiculous. This band, trying to sound like a black blues band and not really succeeding. But he couldn't see it.
