Spaceape's voice is immediately distinguishable in terms of tone and metre, thanks to his regular presence in Hyperdub boss Kode9's music and odd appearances with The Bug. However, he's generally downpitched and disembodied in the former's music especially, so it's a change to hear him as a solo presence on 'On The Run', a video released by Hyperdub today and which you can watch above. It's an appreciably sinister watch/listen as well, the track's loping voodoo drums and sharp horn blurts matched by Spaceape's presence, daubed with designs in white paint and only just visible as a dancer in pitch dark surroundings. As of yet, there's no information from the label about whether it's likely to be released or in what medium.
