Electronic dub innovator Stefan Betke remixes tracks from Roll The Dice's In Dust LP

Swedish duo Roll The Dice's In Dust album was one of last year's lesser noticed gems, a series of freaked-out, charcoal-blackened modular synth epics hinged around images of a ruined post-industrial world. Now the Leaf Label are set to release In Dubs, a 12" containing remixes of three tracks from the album by electronic dub innovator Pole, aka Stefan Betke.

Betke, a renowned mastering engineer in Berlin, first came across the duo when he mastered their Live In Gothenburg 12" last year. He agreed when asked to version a series of In Dust's tracks, and in keeping with traditional dub naming techniques, the tracks have been re-monikered accordingly: 'Calling All Workers' has become 'Calling Dub Workers', 'Idle Hands' to 'Echo Hands', and 'The Skull Is Built Into The Tool' becomes 'The Skull Is Built Into the Version'. Knowing the pedigree of Pole's work, as well as Roll The Dice's originals, these versions are likely to be well worthy of investigation.

They're set for release on limited 12" and digital on 19th November. Information and pre-ordering details are available at the Leaf site.

To coincide with the release, Frode & Marcus have directed a video for In Dust track 'Cause & Effect', which you can watch below.
