Bob Dylan & The Band – Before the Flood

It wouldn't be until the dust had settled, so to speak, and one of the first albums I bought after the flood was Before The Flood by The Band. Maybe I bought it because of the title but hearing The Band and Garth Hudson's application of the keyboard just set me off, it dialled me in to a more sensible path from that point on. Sensible meaning something that I can maintain, something I can be part of, something that began to redefine my sonic trajectory.

Now that's a goddamn list! Compare to the utterly lazy and inane offering from Butch Vig recently...

Boy, Howe sounds like a barrel of laughs, doesn't he? The list might be good but it's hardly insightful stuff, is it?

In reply to Stavros P. Leibowitz:

...Or perhaps he prefers to keep his mouth shut when he has nothing to say, unlike most of the whimpering gobshites on here? Anyway, his anecdote about Bowie's space capsule is fab, & I'm going to track that Cactus LP down IMMEDIATELY on the basis on the hilarious sleeve... OK duck?
