Metallica Launch Emo, Punk & Indie Festival
John Doran , February 7th, 2012 14:58

Metallica have been going from strength to strength recently. Not content with releasing Lulu with Lou Reed last year, now they have unveiled plans for their own indie rock festival.

The line-up resembles nothing less than a cross between the second stage at Reading five years ago and a mad woman's breakfast.

The world's biggest heavy rock group have announced their own Orion Festival in Atlantic City, headlined by themselves and also featuring the Arctic Monkeys, Modest Mouse and Best Coast.

The full line up is as follows:

Arctic Monkeys
Avenged Sevenfold
Modest Mouse
The Gaslight Anthem
Cage The Elephant
Fucked Up
Best Coast
Hot Snakes
Titus Andronicus
Gary Clark Jr.
Lucero
Roky Erickson
The Black Angels
The Sword
A Place to Bury Strangers
Liturgy

There's something about this line-up that makes even the good bands sound totally shit.

We are fully expecting a second stage featuring OK GO, +44, Emmy The Great, Mumford And Sons, Yuck and The Decemberists to be announced any minute now.
