The best new music and chat from your Quietus editors

We have been neglecting, dear readers, our commitment to distributing the best new music that we write about on our websheet out across the internet airwaves. It's with great pleasure, then, that we bring you the first Quietus Radio of 2012, presented by John Doran and Luke Turner. In it we play brand new music from VCMG, Lee Ranaldo, Emilie Sandé, John Talabot, Fucked Up, Wiley and deranged Belgians Hoquet. We've also got a track from the brilliant Tomorrow's World, a new duo featuring Lou Hayter of New Young Pony Club and JB from Air, along with regular features Metal For The Tattooed Lady (in the form of Bolt Thrower) and Disco For The Bearded Man (Diana Ross! Yes!). And finally, was there really only one Indian psychedelic rock band - Atomic Forest - in the 1970s? We also introduce a new series, Historical Loons Of Note, and converse about various topics of contemporary interest. Please listen via Mixcloud below. Thanks as ever to our producer, the Noble Paul Noble, and to Al Overdrive for the photo. See his work here
