LFO's seminal Frequencies and Sweet Exorcist's Retroactivity for release on 7th November

Warp Records are to release remastered editions of a pair of classic Warp albums - LFO's Frequencies and Sweet Exorcist's Retroactivity - on November 7th. It's timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of their original releases, as some of the first full-length albums to see release through the legendary electronic label. Retroactivity is to be released as a 2CD compilation, featuring the entire of Sweet Exorcist's Warp back catalogue, while Frequencies is to be released as a double loud cut LP.

Both albums are recognised as being landmarks in UK dance music, part of Sheffield's bleep 'n' bass sound that helped kick off the evolution of rave.

Frequencies has been remastered by Berlin's Dubplates & Mastering, the mastering house known for bringing an entire new life to recordings ("That place is magical," said Demdike Stare's Miles Whittaker in an interview with us last year, "They really add the fifth dimension to what you do.") Given that the original still sounds punchy now, that's an exciting prospect. More info on the Warp website.
