Battles 'Ice Cream': Tasty Details

12" to come out in three "flavours"

New York rock experimentalists Battles have plans to release a 12" of the lead single from their forthcoming Gloss Drop album. And seeing as the song is entitled 'Ice Cream' they intend to put out the vinyl in three sadly inedible "flavours" – strawberry, vanilla and chocolate – with runs of 1,000 each. The tune features a guest spot from Matias Aguayo, whose "eye-opening" performance Battles guitarist Ian Williams says "added this layer that reminded me of a tropicalia thing." The B-Side will include an instrumental version of 'Ice Cream', as well as another track from the new record, the psychedelic 'Black Sundome'.
