Barely two months ago, an idea was formed, an idea to pool the resources of four like-minded individuals to create a brand new website that focused on areas of music that are comparatively under-represented. Music that other publications may be blind to, because it falls through gaps between genres or otherwise. It doesn't matter to us whether it's electronic, metal, jazz, folk, classical, noise, world music or whatever. We're excited by experimental music, music that pushes at these boundaries, music that isn't "the average".

The design of the site aligns with our approach - there are no distractions, it's all about the words, the photos, the mixes, and above all our passion for this music. This isn't a site for people who want downloads of the latest ephemeral hot act, who vanish without truly having made an impact on the musical landscape. We won't be choosing our "Ones to Watch for 2011". What we will be focusing on is reviews, interviews, and features about music that deserves to be heard regardless of age, genre, nationality or anything else. We'll be out there in left-field. Come and join us.
