Making mucky music videos has been all the rage in 2010 - and now it looks like Klaxons have taken the (soggy) biscuit. Their new short for single 'Twin Flames' manages to mix hardcore grumble for all sexual persuasions (but ideally the best, middling grey area sort), that grim Human Centipede film, and the cojoined doll art of Jake & Dinos Chapman that made Justine Frischmann say "um like amazing" a lot on the telly in the 90s. Grab a tissue - or prepare your indignant 'this is shit' fingers - and watch below:

good god! this is the single least original video of all time! from the concept right down to the execution, this whole amorphous humanoid orgy "thing" is lifted straight from brian yuzna's 1989 film "society" - right down to the goo/bile stuff!

i'm aware this may have been what they were aiming for - a pastiche of sorts - however they've brought absolutely nothing new to the table. In fact, after reading about how "shocking" this video is, i was surprised to see just how tame and sterile it is compared to the original (I say "original" because this is just too contrived to justify any recognition of independant artistic merit). unneccessary, unoriginal and insipid - and i'm not even going to get into their shitbland music.

having said this, i'm sure it'll blow the minds of this band's 15 year old fanbase and will end up on a list of "the most shocking music videos of all time!!!!!" on mtv in years to come.
