Zun Zun Egui

It’s early Sunday afternoon and The Quietus is once again knocking back the coffee after a late night spent wandering among the tents. Groggy heads are quickly brought into focus, though, by the loud clamour coming from the main stage. Curious, we head to the source and discover Bristol’s Zun Zun Egui creating something that’s been sorely missing all weekend: raw noise. Like some turbo-prog group jacked up on a fresh batch of meth, the band throttle their instruments with abandon as their lead singer rips a page from the and starts shouting in tongues while convulsing on stage. All we can do is utter a quiet ‘amen’ as we stand there in awe of this Sunday surprise.
