Minority Report

There have been a lot better and a lot worse Philip K. Dick adaptations than this but you couldn't ask for a better philosophical exploration of the ethics of preemptive war. It also presents a startlingly plausible future where the means of control are perhaps more seemingly benign and pervasive. Unlike goddamn Star Wars the film's argument, if it was even intentional, was handled with some subtlety, although subtlety is not a word that can really be applied to Speilberg's directing style.
