Nine Inch Nails: 'Hurt'
Game: Quake

Another ID title, and the start of Trent Reznor's successful foray into all things digital and new media. Trent Reznor / NIN are credited with sound design / music for Quake, and as ever Trent proves himself to be head and shoulders above everyone else, no licensed tracks, no attempts to sell albums, no cheesy billboards featuring shots of the band, just amazingly produced, perfectly fitting sounds, that actually add to the game experience and led to many terrifying 3am gaming moments. Trivia fans may like to know that the NIN logo appears on all the ammo crates in the games. Hurt does not feature in the game, but is awesome.
