Back From the Dead: The Best Resurrection Films For Easter
The Quietus , April 9th, 2009 09:45

Easter is the most unremarkable of public holidays. It lacks the vicious and almost psychedelic overload of Christmas, the urban gothic charm of Halloween or the emotional/financial/sexual rollercoaster of New Year's Eve.

This is odd, however, as it's based around the most remarkable of stories. The son of God gets killed by the Man and then comes back from the dead looking like Metallica's Cliff Burton with an overwhelming desire to eat ovulate bubbles of chocolate.

So while you feast on carrier bags full of Toblerone and Snickers we will attempt to remind you the real meaning of Easter: dudes coming back from the dead.

Here is our pick of the top ten films that concern resurrection.
