For launch of Totally Wired

We've had Simon Reynolds' Old Testament, in the form of Rip It Up & Start Again. We've enjoyed the New Testament, via Bring The Noise. Now the esteemed scribe and critic launches his supplementary Bible notes with a series of talks around the UK.

Totally Wired is a compendium of extra material and supporting text and interviews to Rip It Up..., published by Faber & Faber on Monday, and features with the likes of Alan Vega, Tony Wilson, Lydia Lunch, Ari Up, Jah Wobble, Andy Gill, Green Gartside and David Byrne, along with supplementary overviews on 'Concept Rock', Lydon and PiL, Joy Division on film, mutant disco and punk funk and more.

Simon Reynolds will be launching the book with a special event to be held at the London Camden Roundhouse, this Sunday February 15th, where he will be joined by Colin Newman from Wire, Viv Albertine of the Slits and Scritti Politti's Tom Morley. You can buy tickets from the Roundhouse website.

Meanwhile, this Thursday Reynolds will be hosting a talk at Manchester's Deansgate Waterstones, where he will be joined by Quietus scribe Mick Middles and former Fall member Una Baines. Tickets for that event are £3 and can be purchased by calling the store on 0161 839 1248. What's more, you get that £3 off copies of the book purchased on the night.
