Five Ways To U2 Happiness
The Quietus , December 23rd, 2008 07:42

U2’s new album No Line On the Horizon is to be released in five different versions on March 3, each more extravagant (and expensive) than the last.

For the frugal minded amongst us, there is of course the standard CD or double vinyl. But for the true fans, a cornucopia of posters and short films awaits.

First there is the digipak version, complete with a poster, 36-page booklet, and downloadable film by director Anton Corbijn "featuring the music of U2". Or for a more tactile thrill and a few quid extra, get all this housed in "a special 60-page soft cover magazine-style book".

True fans will be satisfied with nothing less than the £44.98 (according to Amazon) box set, which has the "mag-book" with a hard cover, a second poster for your wall, and the Corbijn film on a DVD so you don’t have to bother downloading it.

With such generous treats on offer, music piracy will surely become a thing of the past!
