The Fall Tour This Fall
The Quietus , September 2nd, 2008 11:06

Mark E Smith, his wife and a bunch of Prestwich quenchers will take to the road this autumn on The Fall's nth to the power of ten tour. The tour will happily coincide with the release of Dave Simpson's Fallen book, eh?

The dates, which take place in October and November, will feature two nights in the theatre at London's Hackney Empire on Halloween (October 31st) and November 1st. The Fall have worked out the bargain deal where one night costs 20 quid, two nights 30. Support on both nights will include a set by John Cooper Clarke.

The Fall's hat-wearing manager Alan 'Dr Demetrius' Wise says of the Empire shows, "A theatre is dearer to use than a club as it doesnt rely on its bar. But sightlines and sound are much better, and though you CAN stand here, a seat is a welcome relief for the "Michael Miles". There is a bar and cafeteria and people can come and go. You have to keep your trousers on!"

More shows are to be confirmed. For full details, visit the ever-excellent Visi.com Fall site.
