One song turns into more for Choke

Radiohead. Choking.

American writer Chuck Palahniuk has revealed to the BBC that Radiohead have written the score for the forthcoming adaptation of his novel Choke.

Speaking to 6music today, Palahniuk revealed that Radiohead had been very much in the forefront of his mind when he wrote the book: "Clark Gregg, who directed the movie version of Choke which comes out in November, he knew that I'd written Choke while listening to Pablo Honey, with 'Creep', over and over and over," he told BBC presenter Shaun Keaveny.

"So Clark got Radiohead to contribute a song; to write a song for the very end of the movie, the final credits." All well and good, but it seems that the band were keen to make an even bigger contribution: "Apparently Radiohead liked the movie so much, they've written the score, most of the ambient music throughout it," he enthused. "So it's Choke – with the music of Radiohead".

Asked how this made him feel, Palahniuk temporarily lost contact with the good ship reality and said, "I quit believing in my own life at this point. My life is just too incredible to be believable anymore. It’s a living dream."
