White And Keys For Next Bond Tune
The Quietus , July 30th, 2008 18:23

Soul diva Alicia Keys and hoary ol’time blues rocker Jack White have been teamed together for the recording of ‘Another Way to Die’, the theme tune for the twenty-second Bond film, Quantum of Solace, which arrives in UK cinemas this November.

White has written, produced and played drums on the tune but sadly, Keys does not partake in twanging the guitar in what will be the first duet in the series of 007 theme tunes. The score has been created by the film’s already established composer, David Arnold, the man behind numerous Bond theme tunes such as Die Another Day, Casino Royale and The World Is Not Enough.

Rumours circulated earlier this year over the possibility of Duffy, Leona Lewis and Amy Winehouse being on the track to the extent that Winehouse and music producer, Mark Ronson began work in the studio. Unsurprisingly, it soon lost its drive owing to the singer’s incessant habit of catching “colds”.

The soundtrack to Quantum Of Solace will be released on October 28th.
