The Manic Street Preachers

Made-up Marxists the Manic Street Preachers have announced a special six song performance as part of the 18th anniversary celebrations of Heavenly Records, with whom they had a deal before signing with Sony back in 1991.

The Manics will, unsurprisingly, play the six songs they recorded for the label at the do, which takes place at London's Royal Festival Hall on Friday September 12th.

Also playing at the event will be Heavenly staples Doves and Elbow. The 22-20s (remember the avalanche of ludicrously undeserved hype for that particular bunch of trad rock chancers?) will also reform for the event. Get in!
